Finance

The finance side of the firm includes Central Finance, Accounts & Open File Management, Revenue Control, Billing and Archives:

  • Central Finance - Performance Measurement, Procurement Support, Reporting, Financial Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting and general management of the firm's finances.  The team produce a range of ad-hoc and standard reports, provides analysis and proactive advice and gives professional support in finance and procurement for partners and budget holders
  • Accounts & Open File Management - among other things the team is responsible for the opening of client files, the firm's purchase ledger and expense payments together with a range of accounts services
  • Revenue Control - managing the revenue cycle, ensuring the credit we give clients is appropriate and that the working capital on a matter is controlled.  This involves liaising with partners, fee earners and clients throughout the life of a client and matter, as well as analysing payment trends and responding to queries from both clients and lawyers
  • Billing - assisting in managing the billing cycle for centrally-raised bills, and processing all other bills raised, ensuring client and legal requirements are met.  The Billing Team also produce client reports and assist lawyers and secretaries with a range of billing related queries.
  • Archives - the Archives Team are responsible for all aspects of the storage and retrieval of client files and assets, such as deeds and wills
