Training and Development
Burges Salmon is as committed to the training and development of its Business Services staff as it is to that of its lawyers.
Our induction programme for all new joiners plays a vital role in ensuring new members of staff are fully equipped to meet the challenges of their new position. You can expect to receive full IT training on all the systems you will be using and meet representatives from the majority of support functions to gain a wider understanding of how we operate and to start building valuable working relationships across the firm.
The training team offers:
- personal development courses
- IT skills training
- a wide range of bespoke courses delivered by external experts
All our IT trainers are fully accredited and provide expert advice both in the 'classroom' and beyond and are always available should you wish to consult with them on specific IT-related training issues.
Those who wish to develop their skills are often provided with funding assistance where they choose to attend an external course, such as an evening class at a local college. Recent examples range from IT staff gaining Microsoft certification, members of the financial team achieving membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians, to one of our managers attaining a Certificate in Management Studies from the City of Bristol College.
