Advising The Crown Estate over covenant dispute in relation to property the subject matter of an £85 million refurbishment.


Vacation issues

Acting on behalf of joint liquidators over vacation issues flowing from a £18 million sale contract of industrial premises which is the subject matter of contested High Court litigation.


Dilapidation dispute

Acting on behalf of Lloyds TSB Property Management Team on a dilapidation/ reinstatement dispute.


Disputed Purchase Price

Acting on behalf of National Grid in relation to disputed purchase price over multi-million pound sale of development property.


Contractual Dispute

Advising development company on contractual dispute involving significant area of development land and linked dispute with contractors over service installations


Defending call on repayment of loan

Acting for finance company in defending call on repayment of loan monies lent against a significant property portfolio.


Defending adverse possession claim

Acting on behalf of Estate in defending adverse possession claim over development land.


Land and joint venture dispute

Acting on behalf of individuals in complex multi-party land and joint venture dispute.


Disputed enfranchisement claim

Acting for individual in disputed enfranchisement claim in the specialist Chancery List of Central London County Court over Kensington property.


Ground rent allocation dispute

Advising Stockland Halladale on ground rent allocation dispute (valued in excess of £1 million) with local authority relating to Midlands shopping centre. 


Surplus land disposal

Advising one of the major UK racecourses in the proposed disposal of surplus areas of land for approximately 1500 units of residential accommodation. Critical to this was the requirement to balance competing demands of maximizing value and maintaining and enhancing the racecourse business. We also negotiated an access to the development over the adjoining railway.


Leasing a mineral water spring

Acting for a landowner in the Midlands on the grant of a long lease of a mineral water spring to a multinational drinks corporation.


Phased residential development

The disposal of the third phase of a large residential scheme in Dorset to Persimmon. We also acted on the disposal of the earlier phases to Persimmon and in selling land for employment use adjoining the development. In each case the land ownership was complex, being owed in part by various members of the same family or family trusts. We also acted for the farming company tenant.


Hybrid agreements

Acting for a Trust on the grant of a hybrid option and promotion agreement over approximately 100 acres of land for residential development in the South East to a consortium of developers.
